Postpartum care is wellness
What does a postpartum doula do?
A postpartum doula provides non-judgemental support to families during the fourth trimester. Assisting in newborn care, newborn education, baby dishes and laundry, organizing, breastfeeding support, bottle feeding support, routine building, baby wearing and more. Support looks different to every family, so we tailor it to your needs. Having a newborn expert will ease your new parent mind and help your confidence and skills flourish.
meet zoie
I started in doula work because I saw an extreme need for parents to have a support system. Living with my brother and sister-in-law during their transition into parenthood I saw first hand how amazing, challenging, and tiring it was. Not only did they have so many questions, so many things to accomplish, & so little help, they also had such little sleep. I naturally fit in where I could, doing anything from taking care of the dogs to making sure the dishes were done. Picking up on their needs came easily to me. Quickly, I found how much I deeply enjoyed being their emotional support person, their cheerleader, their confidant. Shortly after my nephew was born I received my postpartum training and began working with other families. We are taught that parenthood is “easy” and “natural” but no one ever prepares us for how incredibly challenging it is. It’s learning and teaching, it’s trial and error, it’s figuring out this new little person you’ve brought into the world… all while taking care of yourself. We need support, we need advocates, we need educators, and that’s why I’ve become a doula. If I can make one family’s transition into parenthood a little more peaceful, enjoyable, and at ease I’ve done my job.

Testimonials
“Zoie was the best tool we had in our postpartum tool kit. She cared for our whole family and made those early postpartum days a seamless transition. I cannot recommend her services enough - she helped me manage my oversupply, get more sleep throughout the night, took detailed notes so I knew what was happening, and truly went the extra mile. I would not hesitate to recommend her services and we look forward to having her apart of our journey as we continue to grow our family!”

“One of the best things about Zoie was the calm, serene energy she brought into our home. It calmed down myself, my husband, and our newborn, during a wild time. She did overnight shifts for us, and took such good care of our baby -- my husband and I felt completely comfortable and at ease when we went to bed when Zoie was there. She was amazing and I'm so grateful that we found her.”

“What didn’t Zoie do to help our little family feel supported is more like it. She is patient, reliable, calming, trustworthy, knowledgeable and kind. We functioned better as partners and as parents because of her support... She’s the sweetest and her help was the BEST money ever spent, hands down. Run don’t walk to get her booked ASAP!! We’ve already locked her help in for Baby #2 and knowing we will have her support is everything, truly so validating and calming.”
